Knoxford Fabrications decided to invest in a blasting solution to improve the solutions available to our existing and potentially new powder coating customer base. After looking at various options we decided to go with J. Reid Engineering as their assistance and customer service was exceptional. The blasting unit was delivered on-time and in-budget and is an easy to use but professional unit.

We have used J.Reid Engineering for a good few years now, firstly they supplied a Containablast unit and more recently they designed a bespoke automatic fully integrated blast machine for a particular contract. Having had the installations done on both projects, their after sales service was and still is excellent, in fact, I would say they are probably one of the best companies for after service that I’ve dealt with.

We have used J. Reid Engineering for more than 10 years on a number of engineering projects. They have carried out CAD design and draughting work, following projects through to manufacture, assembly and installation. We have always been completely satisfied with their work.

We have one of your 3 wheel overhead conveyor type shot blasting machines’ at Ipswich now since May 1999. Of course repairs have had to be made from time to time, it’s the nature of the beast, but with a major service carried out yearly by your own very experienced engineers, it is in remarkable condition. The blast chamber is still in amazing condition considering it has now completed around ½ million cylinders. The service engineers and the office staff have never been anything other than very professional, helpful and skilful in all their activities and dealings I have had with them. I would be more than willing and prepared to recommend J.Reid Engineering to any third party, going on my past experience with them.

At the beginning of January 2007 we contacted J.Reid Engineering to quote on two 12m x 10m x 6m high blast rooms, full underfloor recovery and dust extraction. This was for a major oil company in Saudi Arabia. J.Reid Engineering was prompt in sending us the quote and sending us clarifications as and when production was started. The equipment was delivered on time together with comprehensive installation instructions allowing our customer to start installation. When the time came, an engineer from J.Reid Engineering visited the site for commissioning of the dust extraction system. At the end of the job both the customer and ourselves were very pleased with the work carried out by J.Reid Engineering, being on time, and more importantly on budget. We hope to do business with J.Reid Engineering in the future.

J.Reid Engineering installed our shotblast plant approximately 10 years ago. Since then they have carried out service and repairs at various times to our complete satisfaction.

Any questions we had were answered promptly, delivery was on time and the quality of the unit is great. It has improved our quality and lead times, so it is a very worthwhile piece of kit.

We have had one of J.Reid’s Containablast units on site now for around 5 months after our existing facility is being upgraded, and it has served us very well in that time. When the unit was delivered, I was very impressed with the finish and the attention to detail on the build itself. The quality of the unit is outstanding and has been a very effective blast room for this size. The recovery and extraction have not missed a beat and has allowed us to keep up with production from our previous room that was twice the size.

The equipment does what it is supposed to do. Very few issues very reliable. As a maintenance manager the difference maker has been the people I have worked with in this company. They are knowledgeable, easy to speak to and available.
